Las Vegas, Nevada: The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) in Nevada has announced the endorsement of longtime Israel advocate David Brog in Nevada’s Republican Primary for the First Congressional District.
“I’m proud to accept ICAN’s endorsement of my candidacy for Congress. I feel especially close to the Israeli American community. I’m married to an Israeli American. And I’ve dedicated much of my professional career to supporting a strong U.S.-Israel relationship,” said Brog. “I look forward to working with ICAN to fight anti-Semitism and to ensure that America and Israel continue to work closely together to advance our shared values and interests.”
ICAN evaluated candidates based on their policies related to enhancing public safety, combating antisemitism, and supporting policies that protect Israeli immigrants from national origin discrimination.
“David inherently understands the issues that our important to our organization and our community,” said Dillon Hosier, CEO at ICAN. “He has been an unwavering advocate for the U.S. – Israel relationship and appreciates the unique Israeli-American experience in the United States. We would be lucky to have him in Congress fighting in support of our causes.”
Nevada is home to approximately ten thousand Israeli-Americans. ICAN recently supported legislation strengthening Holocaust education in public schools and frequently supports local and state efforts to connect with Israel.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”210374″]What our endorsement means:
ICAN is the only bipartisan Jewish / pro-Israel Israeli-American advocacy organization that endorses candidates at all levels of government and during primaries. ICAN supports candidates who generally believe:
1. The rise in antisemitism is unacceptable and new policy solutions need to be considered to fight this rising tide of hatred targeting Jews and Israelis.
2. The special relationship between our home, the United States, our homeland, Israel must be protected, strengthened, and deepened, including with state and local partners.
3. That Israeli-Americans, like any immigrant community, deserve the right to celebrate our heritage and connect with our culture free from bias and bigotry.
ICAN promotes the candidates we endorse to relevant constituencies, provide opportunities for candidates and voters to meet and connect, and host important voter registration activities to ensure everyone eligible to vote supports our preferred candidates.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”140603″]The Israeli-American Civic Action Network is dedicated to empowering Israeli immigrants and American allies to create change for a better America, a more secure Israel, and a stronger U.S. – Israel alliance through advocacy education and civic action.
