ICAN Coronavirus (COVID-19) Organizational Continuity
Like you, we’re watching with concern as the coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads across the country and disrupts people’s lives. One thing that won’t change, however, is our commitment to working with you and our community.
We are active, engaged, and fully confident of our ability to continue supporting you through these turbulent times. We remain determined to ensure that our community is educated and aware of the ways you can protect yourself from the risk associated with COVID-19 by connecting with your local, state, and national public health officials and elected leaders.
As part of our Organizational Continuity plan to ensure our uninterrupted operations, we’ve taken the following steps:
- ICAN leadership, staff, and volunteers are operating remotely. We made this decision as part of our contribution to community safety. We want our team to stay healthy and we believe it’s important to join broader efforts at reducing the risk of wider infection.
- The robustness of ICAN’s web and communications platforms has been reviewed. Our digital operations will continue to be stable, secure, and monitored regularly as always.
- We had planned to be with many of you at special events in the coming weeks. Until our attendance at these events was canceled in response to the risks associated with large gatherings, we were looking forward to networking and participating in important informational sessions. We are very disappointed we won’t see you in person, but safety is paramount. We nevertheless plan to stay involved with these special events and conferences and pursue meaningful digital engagement with you. More on that soon.
The weeks and months ahead may come with serious challenges — to our private lives, our work, and our communities near and far. We want you to know how highly we value your passion and commitment to confronting those challenges at every level. It inspires us and keeps us motivated since we know that what we do helps you.
We look forward to continuing our work with you in the months ahead as we fight together for a better America, a more secure Israel, and a stronger U.S.-Israel alliance. Please continue to visit us online at our website IsraelUSA.org and on social media for updates.
Thank you for your purposeful determination, and know that we stand with you, unwavering in ours.
