ICAN strongly condemns the horrific and senseless terrorist attacks that have taken place in Israel over the past few days. The attack on the Tel Aviv promenade that killed a tourist and injured several others, the shooting of two Israeli-British sisters and their mother in the northern Jordan Valley, and the rocket attacks launched from Lebanon and Gaza are appalling acts of violence that have no place in a civilized society.

Our hearts go out to the families and friends of the victims, and we extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by these tragic events. ICAN stands with the people of Israel in mourning the loss of innocent lives and in condemning these heinous acts of terror.

The timing of these attacks during the Passover holiday, a time when Jews and their families gather to celebrate their freedom and liberation from oppression, only serves to magnify the tragedy of these events. The sanctity of this holiday, meant to be a time of joy and togetherness, has been shattered by senseless acts of terror. No one should have to live in fear during a time meant for celebration and reflection.

As an organization dedicated to promoting a strong U.S.-Israel alliance, we call on the U.S. administration to take all necessary steps to ensure peace and stability in the region, and to protect our ally, Israel. We urge the U.S. government to continue to support Israel’s right to defend itself against all forms of terrorism and to work towards a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.

We also extend our deepest sympathies to the people of Israel during this difficult time and stand in solidarity as they continue to face the threat of terrorism. We will continue to work towards a better America, a more secure Israel, and a stronger U.S.-Israel alliance.
