Today we face an alarming lack of education and knowledge about the facts and history of the Holocaust.

Recognizing that discrimination and intolerance are on the rise, especially anti-Semitism, Holocaust denial, and Holocaust revisionism, ICAN is proud to support new legislation, Nevada Assembly Bill 257, which will establish the Nevada State Holocaust Museum, making Holocaust education and awareness a state priority.

The new museum will advance and disseminate knowledge about the Holocaust; preserve the memory of Nevadans who suffered; and encourage its visitors to reflect upon the events of the Holocaust in order to promote human dignity.

As part of understanding the danger of Holocaust denial and revisionism, the museum will feature the history of the Jewish Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, and will provide education on subsequent genocides including but not limited to Rwanda, Bosnia, and Syria.
