Today we’re launching the Israeli-American Civic Education Institute as the first phase of a larger grassroots-led effort to ensure first-generation Israeli-American immigrants and our families across the United States are empowered to advocate, engage with elected leaders, and contribute our voice to policy discussions which impact our communities; for a better America, a more secure Israel, and a strong U.S. – Israel alliance.
Our family of three organizations, each designed from inception to be advocacy focused, will specialize in civic education, issue advocacy and influencing policy, and increased participation in campaigns and elections.
The Israeli-American Civic Education Institute (ICEI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which educates Israeli-Americans about civic engagement and advocacy through specialized programming and grants.
The Israeli-American Civic Action Network (ICAN) is a 501(c)4 nonprofit advocacy organization which advocates on behalf of Israeli-Americans to impact issues important to our community.
The Israeli-American Civic Action PAC (ICAP) is a political action committee which will support candidates that speak out in favor of our causes.
Israeli-Americans have successfully established a strong cultural and social pillar which embodies a unique identity that is shared among a broad and diverse national community; now it is time to ensure that our community, is recognized, has a voice, and is empowered as a unique constituency through the creation of a pillar focused on advocacy, civic engagement, and encouraging participation in the electoral process, so that the Israeli-American story becomes part of America’s story.
