Dear Superintendent Skipper,

As you are aware, this past Saturday, Oct 7, Hamas terrorists entered Israel and brutally murdered over 1,300 men, women and children. Babies and whole families murdered in their homes. Young adults murdered at an outdoor, peace festival. Old women murdered or taken hostage. The barbarism is well documented by horrific images the terrorists posted on social media. These were celebratory posts.

We have not seen a response from you to this massacre.

As a leader of the Boston school system, we ask that you issue an unequivocal statement in which you condemn the heinous acts of terror committed by Hamas this weekend on Israeli civilians.

It is an important message to the Boston school community that you don’t have to be Jewish. Nor Israeli. Just human. To speak out against evil. And the barbaric acts of Hamas over the weekend were just that. Evil.

To put the magnitude of the massacre in perspective 1300 murdered in Israel, (a country the size of New Jersey), with its population of 9 Million is equivalent to over 50,000 Americans. That is over 25 9/11s.

And for Jews and Israelis in the Boston school system, it is important to hear from their superintendent that you see their pain, condemn the terror and support them.

There are moments when leaders must take a stand. Humanity calls for it.
